The Walking Dead season 8 will draw to a close next week with a finale that'll see the conclusion of this current era of the show.

All Out War will end in what is expected to be a battle to end all battles as both The Saviours and Hilltop members collide in a fight to the death.

The trailer for the episode titled 'Wrath' teases the showdown which will likely see the death of several main characters before season 9 embarks on what is expected to be a new phase.

Whether Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) has a place in the series' future remains to be seen.

Elsewhere, it seems Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) will make a run for it only to be caught by The Saviours' 'bullet-maker' Eugene (Josh McDermitt) while the future's not looking too bright for Dwight who's wearing Daryl's old prisoner outfit now he's been uncovered as Rick's mole.

This will also mark the final appearance of Morgan (Lennie James) before he jumps to spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead for its fourth season which begins on 15 April.

“We are worse than we were and we can't go back - so let's just finish this,” he tells Rick.

Watch the trailer tomorrow.

The Walking Dead season 8 continues on AMC every Sunday with the UK premiere arriving the next evening on FOX as well as being available to stream on NOW TV.
