Black British make-up artist Pat McGrath is a trailblazer in the beauty industry, not just for her catwalk looks and frequent appearances in fashion magazines, but for her eponymous make-up range Pat McGrath Labs.

With decades of experience, she has been recognised in this year's Queen’s New Year Honours list. In 2014 she was awarded an MBE for her work in fashion and beauty, but this year she will be made a Dames Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for her services to diversity also.

From eyeshadow palettes rich in pigments and shimmer to matte lipsticks with long-lasting colour payoff, since the launch in 2015, products often sell out. The packaging is instantly recognisable too, with sleek black palettes, white and gold embellished lipstick bullets and glass pots of pigment.

The brand usually announces new launches, or “drops” as McGrath calls it, on its Instagram to more than 3.4 million followers, where fans swoon over tutorials that are just as lavish as the products themselves.

In August of this year, streetwear label Supreme teamed up with McGrath and made a matte red lipstick in a classic red shade both brands are well known for. It sold out in eight seconds, before a limited edition restock was announced in December.

While coveted by make-up fans worldwide, one notable fact about the range is its high price tag, with some palettes costing over £100 a pop.

Which is why when the beauty boss announced a huge sale on her lip and eye products, we began filling up our baskets. Below we have all the details on what’s on offer, with many reduced by more than 50 per cent, perfect for a pre-Christmas treat or gift for a loved one.

You can trust our independent round-ups. We may earn commission from some of the retailers, but we never allow this to influence selections. This revenue helps us to fund journalism across The Independent.
