Love Island star Montana Brown reveals what Coachella is really like
'It smelt like gerbils'
It looks like the most fabulous festival in the world, complete with stellar sunsets, A-list attendees and copious cocktails, but former Love Island star Montana Brown says that Coachella is not all it’s cracked up to be.
The 24-year-old penned a candid Instagram post on Tuesday revealing that while she has “a wicked time”, she found the festival to be a little lacklustre compared to some of its luxe private after parties.
“YES I took some nice pics and the acts were AMAZING,” she said of the musical lineup, which this year included Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande and Tame Impala.
“But I also had blisters from my shoes, you have to walk like an hour from the Uber drop off to the festival itself.”
Brown went on to criticise the general scent of the festival (“it smelt like gerbils”) and its high price tags: “I bought some loaded fries for about £20”.

“It’s not as glam as it looks and on one day I legit got dressed three times in the space of an hour to get some pics so I hope you f***ing enjoy them.”
Brown’s post has garnered more than 124,000 likes within just 24 hours, with thousands of her 1.3 million followers leaving comments praising her for giving an authentic account of the experience.
“Love the honesty,” wrote one person. “Here for the realness,” added another.
British model Leomie Anderson said: “Mate, if you don’t know what to expect this festival will slap you into next week loooool.
“Next time lmk if you’re heading and I’ll let you know what you need to have a better experience! But you’re right the parties were lit! [sic]”.
Brown attended the first weekend of Coachella. It will take begin again with the same lineup on Friday 19 April.
