Tommy Hilfiger teases location of debut collaboration with Zendaya at Paris Fashion Week

Lancôme has announced Zendaya as its latest ambassador, making her the youngest ever to represent the brand.

On Thursday, the 22-year-old attended an event in Los Angeles hosted by the cosmetic brand to announce her new role and was joined by fellow ambassadors actor Lupita Nyong'o and model Taylor Hill.

Speaking of her appointment, Zendaya told reports that she was thrilled to represent the brand.

“It’s a huge honour to be able to represent a brand like Lancôme and join such an incredible line-up of iconic women.

“[Lancôme is] a symbol of elegance and class and as I grow into my womanhood and this new phase in my life, in career and maturity that I am trying to figure out.”

Speaking about Zendaya’s appointment, Francoise Lehmann, international president of the L’Oreal-owned brand, said that she brings a “youthful and a unique approach to beauty” which “complements Lancôme's vision and creativity”.

In a post on Twitter, Lancôme said the star will bring a "unique and diverse vision to the brand".

The announcement comes days after US fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger unveiled its first fashion collaboration with the actor.

On Tuesday, the brand unveiled a lookbook, giving fans a sneak peek at the designs ahead of the collection’s runway debut at Paris Fashion Week on 2 March.

Speaking of the collaboration, Zendaya told Vogue: “The most important thing to me is that these clothes feel timeless, and whoever puts it on feels powerful and confident.”
