Nope, this isn’t some late April fools joke – our favourite household ice cream brand just announced that it will begin to create a variety of alcohol themed flavours as they push to innovative a constantly evolving ice cream market.

How best to do that? Yep, you guessed it – booze.

Throughout the year we’ve already begun to see trends pop up in the frozen beverage market, especially with frosé (frozen rosé), which has become quite a tipple-topic of 2017.

But alas, Häagen Dazs have decided that vino isn’t their chosen booze-inclusion and have instead turned to the world of the spirit.

Five flavours have been given the sign off and are already making their way into glamorous new tubs. These are Rum Ginger Cookie, Vodka Key Lime Pie, Whiskey Chocolate Truffle, Rum Vanilla Caramel Blondie and last but not least, Irish Cream Coffee and Biscotti.

Each variety will come packed with the usual Häagen Dazs flavour and around 1% alcohol, so don’t expect to get drunk anytime soon. The good news is, they could make a pretty swanky booze milkshake.

There is one big catch though — right now they’re only available in Canada.

That said, they should start to make their way across the pond soon enough, after all – the words booze and Britain seem to fit hand in hand.
