With Halloween just a month away, Urban Outfitters has released an “influencer costume” - and it comes with just spandex leggings and a sports bra.

The “costume” is retailing for £45 ($59) and resembles the basic influencer-esque wardrobe of monotone colours and clothes better suited for the gym.

According to the website, trick-or-treaters can “channel Instagram style in this low-key costume set worthy of a superstar influencer,” comprised of a simple grey sports bra described as “minimalist sporty-chic” with darker grey leggings to complete the “look that’s so now.”

For those who want to go all out with their transformation into their favourite influencer this October 31, Urban Outfitters is also selling costume accessories - including a black canvas baseball cap, FILA white chunky sneakers for £53 ($70) and a long blonde wig for £12 ($16).

The finished look is modelled with a plain gray hoodie and dark sunglasses - and appears to be inspired by a Yeezy season six outfit that was worn by Kim Kardashian and modelled by various other celebrities to promote Kanye West’s fashion line.

While Kim Kardashian’s version of the outfit received nearly two million likes on Instagram, people aren’t as impressed with the Halloween recreation.

On social media the costume has received mixed reactions - including disbelief.

“What world do we live in?” one person tweeted.

Another said: “Nothing says Insta-famous like paying $59 for a package of crap.”

Others have suggested additional accessories that would complete the outfit.

“Where’s the flat tummy tea?” someone asked, while another said: “Oh come on, it should at least come with a bag of skinny tea.”

While it is unclear whether people have actually bought the costume, it currently has a 3.4-star rating on Urban Outfitters’ website.
