Jennifer Garner recreates pool scene from Alias

Jennifer Garner has shared an amusing recreation of a pool scene from Alias to celebrate surpassing 10m followers on Instagram.

On Friday, the actress uploaded a video showing the original clip from the spy TV show, which shows her slowly stepping out of a pool in a bikini before putting on heels, as well as a new rendition which sees her climbing out of her own pool while dressed in a short-sleeved wetsuit.

In the new version of the scene, Garner, who is wearing protective swimming goggles in the pool, then proceeds to put on slippers before walking away.

“I am awfully grateful for everyone in this community,” the 13 Going on 30 star captioned the video. “To celebrate all 10m of you, here is THE video I promised my manager (hi, @nksolaka) and my publicist (hi, @mereowass) I would never post.”

Garner concluded:  “At some point in 2021, Ladies, I will try to look cute just for you,” before adding the hashtag “Thankyou.”

On Alias, which ran from 2001 to 2006, the 48-year-old played Sydney Bristow, a double agent for the CIA.

In response to the video mashup, many of Garner’s more than 10m followers applauded her for sharing the clip.

“And THIS is why we love you,” one person commented.

Another said: “Hilarious! Yep we all put on high heels after a huge swim workout. Alias was such a great show!”

The amusing video also prompted comments from fellow celebrities, including Selma Blair, who told Garner she made her “smile huge” and Rita Wilson, who wrote: “I love you even more.”

As for an actual recreation of Alias, the actress has previously revealed that she would be interested in participating in a reboot.

“I’ve heard that there's an Alias reboot happening, but no one's talked to me about it,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. "I mean, it would be totally different. But if they didn't have me on as a guest, I would be very, very angry.

“But I can't imagine it being that serious yet because I haven't heard anything about it at all."
