If you fancy making it to Valentine's Day with your relationship still intact here’s a what-not-to-do to do while on holiday with your other half.

Around 25 per cent of couples break up during or shortly after their first holiday together. Roving eyes, enforced time together and bad holiday fashion (such as sandals with socks) all contribute to break-ups according to research by holiday website www.sunshine.co.uk.

Nearly 70 per cent of those surveyed said they’d dumped their partner because they’d been ogling other people on the beach. While nearly half said they were so embarrassed by what their other half was wearing that they kicked them to the curb.

Another 43 per cent thought being stingy with money warranted the end of the pairing with two-thirds of them adding that hunting for the cheapest dinner place was the worst offence.
