Emma Roberts has introduced the world to her newborn son, Rhodes Robert Hedlund.

On Tuesday, the actor shared a photograph on Instagram of herself sitting on a striped garden sofa cradling the baby.

For the photo opp, Roberts wore an orange balloon sleeve mini dress and matching peep-toe shoes.

The 29-year-old captioned the post: “Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right. Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund.”

Roberts and her partner, actor Garrett Hedlund, are thought to have been dating for just over a year.

She announced that they were expecting a baby boy together on 30 August by uploading a photograph of herself when she was visibly pregnant beside Hedlund alongside the caption: “Me...and my two favorite guys [sic]."

Now, Roberts’ first post of herself with Rhodes has sparked a flurry of congratulatory comments from friends and fellow celebrities.

“I love you em. Sooo happy for you,” wrote actor Ashley Benson.

Reese Witherspoon added: “Oh baby!! Congrats!!”

Other famous faces to have offered their congratulations include actors Ashley Tisdale and Taylor Lautner, and model Lily Aldridge.

In November, Roberts became the first pregnant woman to front the cover of Cosmopolitan.

In the accompanying interview, she opened up about her experience of being pregnant.

“Long story short: I am hungry and tired,” she told the publication.

“Food and sleep do not abide by the normal laws when you’re pregnant. But I’m healthy, which is the thing I’m most grateful for.”

It’s not clear exactly when Roberts gave birth, however, reports circulated last month that she and Hedlund had welcomed their baby boy.
