Chevrolet has released a picture of its forthcoming new small SUV, the Trax, which is expected to be seen in the metal for the first time at the Paris Motor Show in September.
The Trax features the distinctive Chevrolet “face” that is being standardised across the manufacturer's line-up as it knits together its US and Korean ranges to produce a global brand, and shares its deep grille with models such as the Cruze, Orlando and the Captiva. Chevrolet says that the new car will provide room for five passengers and generous luggage space but has released few other details.
As well as the Trax, Chevrolet will introduce this year an estate version of the Golf-sized Cruze, and a new Malibu; the larger Malibu model is traditionally aimed mainly at the US market but the latest version is based on the same platform as the Vauxhall/Opel Insignia and is designed to appeal more widely to customers in other countries as well.
