Older people enjoy dedicated shopping sessions at supermarkets

The August bank holiday, which is the last before Christmas, is finally upon us.

On Monday 31 August, people across the UK will be enjoying a day off work to meet up with family and friends or make the most of the last day of Eat Out to Help Out.

However, many others will be staying in to avoid what looks set to be the coldest August bank holiday on record.

Whatever your plans, if you find yourself needing to pop out for essentials you will need to make note of the adjusted supermarket opening times over the long weekend.

To ensure your cupboards and fridges are fully stocked, here is a list of the opening hours of the UK’s most popular supermarkets:

Tesco

However, hours may vary by location, so be sure to check Tesco’s store locator to find the exact times for your local shop.
