Regal Homes has sold two of its exclusive mansions in north London to overseas buyers for around £12m each, writes Margareta Pagano.

Paul Eden, the property developer's managing director, said: "The market for luxury homes is doing extremely well. Over the past few months, we've had a lot of interest and since the Budget the mood has become much more upbeat, helped by the lower pound."

The two homes, which Regal renovated with the designer Kelly Hoppen, are at Winnington Close, Hampstead, which has its own cinema, and at 100 Clifton Hill, St John's Wood. They have been bought by European businessmen.

Mr Eden said that he has several more houses ready to come on to the market, complete with their own gyms – one with a bowling alley at Hampstead Lane overlooks Sir Paul McCartney's house. Foreign buyers are already showing interest.
