A children’s party organiser who admitted to raping a girl under the age of 13 four times has been sentenced to 17 years behind bars.

Lee Ornstein, 29, threatened to kill the girl if she told anyone about the sexual abuse that took place between 1 June and 30 September, 2014.

Her family told Norwich Crown Court that the attacks have had an extreme effect on the girl’s personality, and have led to panic attacks.

Ornstein pleaded guilty to all four offences at Norwich Crown Court on Monday 11 July, despite initially denying all allegations put to him during a police interview.

“This was a terrible case which has had a profound impact on the victim and her family,” Detective Constable Holly Beevis said.

“The bravery she has shown in speaking to police must be commended.

“We hope such a result will help to reassure victims that we will always investigate any allegations of sexual abuse thoroughly and as a consequence bring offenders to justice.”

Ornstein has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.
