Fatal stabbing of teenager on London street caught on doorbell camera, court hears

Toure, 18, was found collapsed outside A&E but died later that morning

A smart doorbell with an inbuilt camera captured footage of a teenager being fatally stabbed over 45 seconds, a court has heard.

18-year old Amara Toure was attacked outside a home in Walworth, southeast London, in June.

Three men have been accused of his murder and are on trial at the Old Bailey.

Jurors heard that Toure, from Manor Park, was chased into a residential street where the house was located by Paulinho Paulo.

Prosecutor Anthony Orchard QC told the court that Paulo, 20, was seen on the CCTV footage gesturing to a blue Ford Fusion car to follow.

The car was allegedly driven by Sultan Chaudry, 20, with Dullah Abdullah as his passenger.

Abdullah, 21, allegedly joined in the chase and blocked Toure from escaping.

Orchard said: “CCTV from a doorbell camera opposite showed Paulo stab Amara Toure repeatedly over a period of about 45 seconds.

“Abdullah also struck Amara Toure on occasions. Throughout the attack Amara Toure tried to defend himself."

Abdullah and Paulo fled the scene in Chaudry’s car after the stabbing, the court heard.

Toure was left badly injured but was able to stagger towards Walworth Road, where a passing car picked him up and took him to St Thomas’ Hospital.

He was found collapsed outside A&E, but died later that morning.

Paulo, of Manor Park, Abdullah, of Ilford, and Chaudry, of East Ham, east London, all deny murder.
