A man has been stabbed and left seriously injured after being attacked in central London on Sunday morning.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was assaulted at 6am at Romilly Street, Soho.

A crime scene has been set up in the area.

Police officers arrested a woman in her 40s in connection with the attack.

The Metropolitan Police said a "quick response" to the stabbing resulted in the woman being taken into custody.
