Gunmen in Halloween masks open fire on illegal East London rave injuring two people

Gunmen wearing Halloween marks shot semiautomatic weapons into a crowd of partygoers at an illegal rave, injuring two people.

A man and a woman were taken to hospital after the shooters caused chaos at the "Money Move" party in Leyton, East London.

A video of the incident at the weekend shows revellers screaming as the lights are switched on after being attacked by bullets in the makeshift club.

The group of at least three men were wearing masks of clowns, ghosts and ghouls, as reported by The Sun.

Witnesses said the gunmen blocked off the only exit in the industrial estate, where the party took place.

They said it was "terrifying" as bullets rang out among the crowd.

"There must have been at least four guns. It was terrifying. Everyone who had got out was just running but there were over 100 trapped inside," one told the newspaper.

More video footage shows an njured man lying on the ground.

A woman can be seen using a belt as a tourniquet around his leg to stem the flow of blood.

As he asks her to tighten the belt, she can be heard saying, "You’re good, man."

The 41-year-old victim was reportedly rushed to hospital and is in a stable condition.

Another injured woman in her 20s who was struck by a bullet in her chest went to another hospital.

Her condition was reportedly not life-threatening or life-changing.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "A crime scene was put in place and an investigation has been launched by Trident officers.

"There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue."
