Crane tips over on Florida police construction site
No one was injured in the accident
Surveillance footage shows the moment a construction crane toppled over in St Petersburg, Florida.
Local police released the video of the crane crashing at the construction site of their new headquarters.
Before the incident, St Petersburg Police said the facility was on track to be completed by spring of next year.
The footage shows the workers on the site scattering as the crane tips, but it narrowly misses them, sending up a cloud of dust as it hits the ground. None of the workers were injured.
The accident took place on the morning of 5 April, city officials said.
“We were fortunate no one was injured and there was no major damage on the site,” St Petersburg Police Department said.
The local fire department confirmed that the crash left no hazardous conditions and minimum damage was sustained to the site. The only damage sustained was to the crane.
