Donald Trump claims women love being called ‘housewives’ as he begged for their support
President continues appeal to voting bloc as polls say they have deserted him
Donald Trump claimed that suburban women love being called “housewives” as he begged them to help him get reelected.
The president continued his appeal for suburban women’s support as polls indicate their flagging support for him.
In September a national survey conducted by All In Together found that suburban women favoured Joe Biden by 55 per cent to Mr Trump’s 41 per cent.
Mr Trump again targeted the crucial voting bloc at his Make America Great Again rally in Greenville, North Carolina.
“Why is that the fake news keeps saying that women aren’t going to like Trump?” complained Mr Trump.
“You know what women want more than anything else? They want safety, security, and they want to be able to have their houses, and leave me alone right?
“The suburban woman. Early on, before I realised it wasn’t politically correct, sorry folks, I haven’t been doing this too long, I said ‘the suburban housewife loves trump.’
“And they went - by the way, the women, they loved it. Does anybody mind that term? Is that a bad term?”
Mr Trump then claimed that the only people who do not like the term are the media that cover his administration.
“You know the only people that minded it? Those people there with the cameras," he said.
“Look at them. Look how innocent they look. And they’re not innocent, they’re not innocent. “The enemy of the people. I call them the enemy of the people. But anyway. So the suburban women should love Trump.
