Elizabeth Warren says she has a plan for almost everything on the 2020 campaign trail, including your love life.

That’s at least according to a recent exchange between the Democratic presidential candidate and comedian Ashley Nicole Black on Twitter, after the former correspondent on Samantha Bee’s Full Frontal tweeted a simple question about the Massachusetts senator.

“Do you think Elizabeth Warren has a plan to fix my love life,” Black tweeted, riffing on Ms Warren’s “I have a plan for that” campaign mantra.

And, while Ms Warren’s campaign has tended to release heady policy plans, the senator’s account responded.

“DM me and let’s figure this out,” she responded.

Ms Warren has made a name for herself among the crowded Democratic primary field by releasing a series of detailed policy proposals, tackling issues ranging from abortion to military housing to fixing America’s higher education system.

“I have a plan for that,” she says repeatedly during campaign stops across the country, as she introduces herself to voters.

The proposals have helped her to remain competitive in the race, sitting at third or fourth place in most national polls, but far below front runner Joe Biden. In most polls she comes in with just under 10 per cent support, while Mr Biden tops 30 per cent.

But, while the former Harvard law professor has become known as the policy wonk in the race – and the bane of Wall Street in many ways – this appears to be the first time she has waded into the matchmaking game.

Black, for her part, seemed content with the joking response she got on Twitter.

“I knew I could count on you,” she said.
