Kellyanne Conway tried to explain Flynn's resignation was told on national TV she 'made no sense'

She's been widely mocked for propagating her own "alternative facts", and now a TV show in the US has got fed up of Kellyanne Conway and banned her.

Mika Brzezinski, from MSNBC's Morning Joe breakfast news programme, has said she will no longer book Donald Trump's adviser – despite her repeated attempts to try and get herself on the show.

“I know for a fact she tries to book herself on this show; I won’t do it,” Ms Brzezinski said.

“Every time I’ve ever seen her on television, something’s askew, off, or incorrect.”

Kellyanne Conway refers to fictitious 'Bowling Green massacre' to justify refugee ban

“I will say: Kellyanne Conway does not need to text our show, just as long as I’m on it, because it’s not happening here.”

Ms Brzezinski added that Ms Conway is “not credible anymore.”

The former Trump campaign manager-turned-adviser has faced criticism for allegedly giving incorrect information during TV interviews.

In an appearance on NBC’s Today show on Tuesday, Ms Conway said that until security adviser Michael Flynn resigned, he had retained full access to briefings.

Reports had emerged that the Trump administration was informed a month before he quit that Mr Flynn may have lied to the Vice President about his contact with Russia.

In response to Ms Conway's assurances that Mr Flynn had retained the President's full confidence until he stepped down, the TV host remarked: "That makes no sense!"

Doubts about Ms Conway's credibility were raised in January after Ms Conway cited a fictitious terror attack, the "Bowling Green massacre", as justification for Mr Trump's proposed travel ban.

The Independent has contacted MSNBC to ask if the channel has an official policy restricting appearances by Ms Conway.
