Video has been released by authorities showing the moment a man clinging onto a car bonnet crashes into a stationary police patrol car in Michigan.

The incident took place at around 10.30am on 6 January in the 7000 block of Tottenham.

Shelby Township Police Department sent out a patrol car in response to a domestic violence complaint.

They released this statement on their Facebook page.

“Two brothers were fighting in the home. When patrol arrived, they saw a white car approaching with a male subject hanging on to the hood of the car.

“Officer activates overhead lights and stops patrol car...you can see in the video what happens next. (After investigation, both brothers were arrested on separate charges, but the way).”

“Thankfully, nobody was injured.”

The video posted on Facebook has now been viewed over 60,000 times.
