Hernan Crespo has called Lautaro Martinez a ”complete player” and urged the Argentine to remain at Inter Milan.

Martinez, 22, has enjoyed a super season for Antonio Conte’s Inter, forming a fine strike partnership with Romelu Lukaku and hitting 16 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions.

His superb form has seen clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid hover, but Crespo has urged his young compatriot to remain at the San Siro for the time being.

“I would like him to stay at Inter because this has been his first year as a starter,” Crespo told David de las Heras on YouTube.

“I wish he had a bit more of a solid foundation before another change comes. Trains slow down at the best stations and Lautaro is one of them.”

Crespo added that he thinks Lautaro will become a huge success for both club and country.

“He is a very serious and focused boy. I really like that. He has a lot of personality,” Crespo added.

“He is a complete player who can play in attack both alone and accompanying another striker.”
