Manchester City news: Roy Keane criticises 'arrogant and disrespectful' European performance

Roy Keane voiced his disproval of the "arrogant and disrespectful" performance of Manchester City following dreary draw against Celtic in Champions League.

Following the game at the Etihad, the Manchester United legend said: "Their squad probably isn’t as good as Manchester City think or even the manager.

"Obviously they knew they were already through but they showed a lot of disrespect to Celtic and Celtic were the slightly better team and could have gone on to win."

Keane was exasperated by the approach of the home side, as they continued to disregard the ability of their opponents – despite looking second best on the night.

The half-hearted performance has left the Irish pundit questioning the ability of the side as Pep Guardiola’s club progresses through the ranks of the Champions League.

With City already guaranteed second place in Group C, The Citizens could only manage to scrape a 1-1 draw, following a lacklustre performance on home turf. The visitors unsettled Guardiola’s men from the off and on-loan Patrick Roberts gave them the lead with an early display of individual excellence.

Fellow youngster Kelechi Iheanacho, bagged the equaliser to scrape his side a point from the clash. Brendan Rodgers' men missed an abundance of late chances that could have won them the game.
