Who was the villain?

Referee Fred Graham. Some of his decisions were baffling. He spotted every tug and kick on a Watford player but every time the same thing happened to Barnsley players he turned a blind eye. The straight red card he showed to Ryan Shotton was a diabolical decision.

What next for Barnsley?

For us to be ninth and just three points off the play-offs is beyond the wildest dreams of any Barnsley fan. It's not for me to say what's next, I'm happy to leave that in the hands of Mark Robins! (Rob Miles, Barnsley-mad.co.uk).

Blackpool 1 Leicester City 2

Was it the right result?

Not at all as we had more of the ball than the visitors and offered far more of an attacking threat. It was amazing that we didn't find the net ourselves until the 89th minute. We should also have been awarded a stoppage-time penalty. (HarryH, Blackpool fan).

Happy with the points?

It was a real smash-and-grab performance and I'm not sure we deserved all three points. Having said that, goals win games and it's not our fault if the Blackpool strikers couldn't hit a barn door with the proverbial. (00Seven, Leicester fan).

Did the Robins deserve a point?

After all the late goals we've conceded this season it was good to finally score one of our own. It was a spirited display considering the embarrassment of the last game at Ashton Gate – the 6-0 humiliation by Cardiff City. (gowstache, Bristol City fan).

Is there life after Leon Best?

He scored 10 goals for us this season but none in the League since November so he shouldn't be too much of a loss. He's been good for us overall but it was probably a good time to sell him. (houchenshead, Coventry fan).

Are Rovers too good to go down?

Three defeats in a row have certainly got us looking over our shoulders but we're still playing some good stuff and should have enough quality to stay up. Plymouth and Peterborough look doomed and I think someone like Coventry could end up in big trouble.

Was it a fair result?

With 10 minutes left it was game over but Matt Mills' red card certainly made it lively in the closing stages. We hit the bar and had an effort cleared off the line in a frantic finale and could easily have snatched a point. (bellevue88, Doncaster fan).

Will Ipswich go down?

With results going against us, we're now one point and one position above the relegation zone and are getting sucked right back into it. Roy Keane said at the start of the season that any average manager can finish mid-table in the Championship. He's looking a little foolish now!

How did Town's new signings play?

We scored after just 22 seconds following good work by both debutants but for the rest of the game it was a case of new faces but same old story as we drew yet another game. (Justin Johnson, bluesweb.co.uk).

Newcastle United 5 Cardiff City 1

Are Newcastle heading for promotion?

We are in pole position and are looking good for the rest of the season. We have brought in six players to bolster our squad – quality players, pacy players and technically good players whereas the teams below us haven't. (fire-wolf, Newcastle fan).

Where did Cardiff go wrong?

Our two centre-backs were bullied by Andy Carroll and failed to win a ball in the air all night long. Just imagine what Chelsea's Didier Drogba is going to do to them – he will have a field day. (JackFrost, Cardiff fan).

Was it a fair result?

It wasn't a classic by any stretch of the imagination with little to no flowing football from either side. The referee and his assistants didn't help as they were completely useless but it's a very good victory that keeps the pressure on the top two.

How did the visitors play?

You could see why they'd been on a good recent run and to be honest I wouldn't have complained if it had ended as a draw. They had lots of possession but seemed to lack the creative guile to unlock our defence. (CastustheRed, Forest fan).

Can Jim Gannon keep Posh up?

He's certainly started well. In one game he's won as many times as Mark Cooper managed in two-and-a-half months at London Road! But we're still nine points away from safety and, having only won four times all season, a great escape still seems highly unlikely.

How did the visitors play?

Poorly and they ended up with nine men to make a disastrous season even worse. There's more chance of them playing in League One than the Premier League. (proudposh, Peterborough fan).

Plymouth Argyle 0 West Bromwich Albion 1

Was it a fair result?

Argyle did enough to deserve a draw, but it was a tight match played on another poor Home Park surface.

What next for Argyle?

Some results to go along with improved performances would be nice! But we should be optimistic as it felt as though the ghost of Paul Sturrock had been laid to rest. It was the first time it felt like watching someone else's team. We played with more spirit than I've seen in 18 months and actually displayed some quality at times. (SaltashGreen, Plymouth fan).

Scunthorpe United 1 Crystal Palace 2

Was it a fair result?

I really don't know how we lost that game. It was real smash-and-grab stuff by Palace who were on the back foot for long periods. Their first goal was against the run of play and there was only ever going to be one winner in the closing stages even though we were down to 10 men – and it certainly wasn't Neil Warnock's lot!

How did the visitors play?

They weren't brilliant but going into administration seems to have helped their team spirit. They battled until the final whistle and grabbed a last-gasp winner. (ironman, Scunthorpe fan).

Sheffield United 1 Derby County 1

Was a draw a fair result?

Derby will feel highly aggrieved not to travel back down the M1 with maximum points. They were decent while we were diabolical, shambolic and embarrassing. That was the worst performance of the season without a doubt!

Are the play-offs still on?

The players look disinterested and this coupled with Kevin Blackwell's incompetence is seeing us lose ground. But thankfully we are not slipping down the league standings too much because the teams below us aren't exactly pulling up any trees. (Jamie Furniss, blades-mad.co.uk).

Who was the star man?

Dave Cotterill has taken his time to bed in since joining from Sheffield United, but he excelled this time out. His superb free-kick broke the deadlock and got us going, while a good delivery allowed Ashley Williams to wrap up the win. (1979Swan, Swansea fan).

What next for Preston?

Hopes of a play-off charge look to be over for this season and Darren Ferguson needs to start making a bigger impression on the team and sort his tactics out. Playing Neil Mellor in midfield was never likely to work. (Deepdale Dave, Preston fan).
