Ian Holloway denies he is concerned about Crystal Palace's form after stalemate at Millwall

Neither side could find a goal at Selhurst Park

Ian Holloway insisted that his Crystal Palace team will still be a threat in the Championship play-offs after their ninth straight winless game edged them closer to a top-six finish.

Palace drew 0-0 at Millwall meaning that a point on Saturday should be enough when they host Peterborough. Holloway denied that he was “concerned” about Palace's form and sounded optimistic about the play-offs.

“Let's hope we can give our fans something to really cheers about,” he said after the goalless draw. “I want to get them in there. If we do get there I think we'll be a handful.”

“I have been confident in my team all along. We have had a horrendous run, but sometimes you have to enjoy what you get. So let's enjoy this one. We've got another one this Saturday, we've still got a fantastic chance, we have got to get in there. We need one more point.”

The Millwall manager, Kenny Jackett, said his team can build on their disciplined performance to get the point needed at Derby to stay up on Saturday. “Tonight will help us, the spirit, commitment and the way we kept going,” he said. “I don't want to be looking round the country and hoping, it's our own concentration and commitment. That was a really positive performance, we've got to make sure we get the job done. We want to continue to be in this league.”

Jackett was proud of his players, but did withdraw substitute Danny N'Guessan just 14 minutes after he came on in the second half. “I didn't feel the sub worked out, it opened us up,” Jackett said. “It was a reflection of his performance, I don't think there was enough there. You need to be playing to instruction, playing with passion, I didn't think that was right. I didn't want to do it but to get us over the line it needed to be done.”
