Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka withdraws from England squad with back injury
Kyle Walker is a ready-made replacement but it was confirmed that he would not be called upon
Aaron Wan-Bissaka's first taste of the England senior set-up has come to an abrupt end due to a back issue.
Gareth Southgate called up the uncapped Manchester United right-back for September's Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo, but the Football Association has confirmed that Wan-Bissaka has returned to Old Trafford.
A statement read: "Aaron Wan-Bissaka has withdrawn from the England squad. The Manchester United right-back has returned to his club due to a back issue."
Kyle Walker is a ready-made replacement but it was confirmed that he would not be called upon.
"With Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier already included in Gareth Southgate's now 24-man squad, no replacements are planned."
