Marcus Rashford signs new four-year contract at Manchester United

Marcus Rashford believes he is better prepared than ever to smash the 20-goal barrier for Manchester United this season.

The England striker, who scored 13 goals in all competitions last season, has recently penned a new five-year contract at Old Trafford, thought to be worth more than £200,000 per week including bonuses.

And the 21-year-old, entering his fifth season with the club, believes he can reach the 20-goal mark by starting the season fast following a carefully managed break.

“Yes, 100 percent, I feel like now I’m in a better condition to do it,” Rashford said ahead of United’s pre-season opener against Perth Glory this Saturday.

“It’s been tough, pretty much every pre-season I’ve had a tournament or something with the national team and your break is shorter.

“You have to come back quicker and it can be difficult to start the season up and running.

“This season I feel I’ve managed it, between me and the manager, we’ve managed it better and physically I feel like I’m in better condition.

“I don’t think you put a number on it, but you want to score as many goals as you possibly can.

“For us forwards it’s just about goals and assists and if we can do that among us, we have a lot of talent in this team.”
