In Brief: Frail Hibs fall to first defeat; Rangers fans angry at 'rival' law firm
Pat Fenlon's rebuilding will need to continue judging by Hibernian's 3-0 SPL defeat at Dundee United yesterday.
After only three minutes Johnny Russell fired in an opener that exposed the Hibs' defensive frailty so evident last season. United never needed to rise to the heights reached when they gave Dynamo Moscow a midweek fright.
Jon Daly's 74th-minute header and a strike by substitute Michael Gardyne wrapped up the points.
Rangers fans angry at 'rival' law firm
Rangers fan groups have objected to the appointment of Glasgow law firm Harper MacLeod by the Scottish Premier League to probe the club's previous owners in a move that could lead to the stripping of SPL titles. A joint statement from three fan groups said: "Harper MacLeod have acted for Celtic FC, who would be the main beneficiaries of any finding of guilt. It was extremely naive to appoint a firm with such a close connection to a rival club."
