Manchester United target Milan Skriniar is staying with Inter for the foreseeable future, according to his manager.

Skriniar is one of several central defenders to have been linked with Old Trafford over the last few months.

However, Luciano Spalletti has insisted that the Slovakia international will not be allowed to leave the San Siro.

“Skriniar is staying here, he is out of everybody’s price range,” Spalletti said after the 6-2 victory over Benedetto on Sunday. “Nobody can afford him.”

Elsewhere, Bournemouth are said to be ready to tie down David Brooks amid interest in the 21-year-old from Old Trafford.

According to The Sun, United are planning to move for Brooks in the summer transfer window, though could be brought into an early bidding war.

Bournemouth are ready to more than double Brooks’ salary to around £50,000-a-week in order to fend off interest from United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile, reports in Spain continue to link former Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho with Old Trafford.

Coutinho returned to Barcelona’s starting line-up on Sunday having been benched by Ernesto Valverde in their previous four league games.

According to Mundo Deportivo, United have enquired about Coutinho’s availability but the 26-year-old is determined to fight for his place at Barcelona.
