The Paul Pogba saga appears to have reached its conclusion. Although it’s yet to have been officially announced, Juventus have reportedly accepted Manchester United’s world-record £100m fee for the 23-year-old.

According to the Daily Mail, United have also agreed personal terms with the Frenchman, who will sign a five-year contract worth £220,000 a week after tax while Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, will be paid £18.4m to complete the deal.

Newcastle have accepted an offer from Liverpool for midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, according to Sky Sports, and is expected to undergo his Anfield medical today. The deal is anticipated to be within the region of £25m.

Manchester City are close to completing the £42m transfer of Leroy Sane from Schalke on a four-year contract after the winger recently handed in a transfer request, according to the Sun. The German is expected to earn £100,000-a-week under Pep Guardiola who has made no secret of his desire to sign Sane.

City are also moving to make a bid for Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos. Pep is believed to be a huge admirer of the German and would like to be reunited with his former Bayern Munich playmaker at the Etihad. An audacious £50m bid had been launched to sign the player, the Daily Mirror writes, and although Kroos is happy at the Bernabeu it is understood he is not ruling out a move.

New England boss Sam Allardyce, whose official appointment will be made by the FA later today, will earn a basic salary of £2.5m-a-year as manager but a heavily-incentivised contract gives him the chance to earn more than Roy Hodgson’s £3.5m salary, the Daily Mirror reports.

West Brom are continuing to stall on Stoke’s £20m bid for striker Saido Berahino while they hunt for a replacement, according to Sky Sports. Mark Hughes confirmed that the Potters had made a number of offers for the 22-year-old but it has emerged that the Baggies are not prepared to let him leave until they have secured an alternative forward.

Lastly, the Baggies will make an improved £10m offer for Leicester City full-back Jeffrey Schlupp, 23, after their initial £9m bid was rejected by the Premier League champions. The left-back lost his position to Christian Fuchs last season and Tony Pulis remains confident that he can prise the player away from the King Power with the guarantee of regular football, the Birmingham Mail suggests.
