The London Marathon in numbers

Follow the latest updates live from the 2019 London Marathon as Mo Farah attempts to win his first long-distance race on the streets of his home town.

It proved a display of dominance by the greatest marathon runner ever seen as Eliud Kipchoge ran the fastest London Marathon in history, beating everyone in sight with a time of 2:02:37 that stands as the second-fastest marathon of all-time, behind his own world record set in Berlin last year.

It proved a slightly disappointing day for Britain's Mo Farah, who missed out on a place in the top three and had to make do with fifth place. But a tactical women's race saw Kenya's Brigit Kosgei romp to victory with the fastest ever second-half marathon, while victories in the wheelchair races went to Daniel Romanchuk of the USA and Switzerland's Manuela Schar respectively. Re-live all the action below.

What time does it start?

9:05am - Elite Wheelchair Race

9:10am - World Para Athletics Championship

9:25am - Elite Women

10:10am - Elite Men and London Marathon

How can I watch it on TV?

The London Marathon will be shown on BBC Two from 8:30am until 10am, when coverage will then switch to BBC One until 2:30pm. Race coverage will also be broadcast on the radio on BBC Five Live.
