ALAIN MENU, of Switzerland, won two second places in the final round of the Auto Trader RAC British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park yesterday to finish as runner-up to the champion, Gabriele Tarquini.

Tarquini won the championship at Silverstone last week, but crashed in the first race yesterday and was fourth in the second after starting from the back row of the grid.

Paul Radisich won the opening race which meant he and Menu started the final race level on points.

Radisich started the second race from the pit lane after mechanical problems on the warm-up lap and though he broke the lap record by 0.4sec, he could only finish ninth.
