As the weather heats up, many Brits are looking to book a last-minute holiday.

To find the cheapest places to visit, a new study from the travel search engine KAYAK.co.uk crunched the holiday costs of its most searched-for destinations and ranked them from the most to least expensive.

The travel site calculated the average total cost of a week's holiday in each destination, including the cost of return flights, a week's stay at a three-star hotel, car hire, a city or museum tour, three cocktails, and a souvenir.

From bustling, skyscraper-filled cities to relaxing beach destinations, here are the 10 cheapest trips you could take this summer, along with a breakdown of travel costs for a week's stay.
