Mudslide prompts road closure on iconic Los Angeles road

A mudslide across Los Angele's iconic Mulholland Drive led to the closure of the drive and an evacuation mission.

LAFD PIO Erik Scott explains the situation in this clip he shared on Twitter, showing the destruction in the exclusive area near the Hollywood sign.

Firefighters were called to the scene to calmly evacuate an elderly man and his caretaker from his house.

There were no injuries or entrapment after the earth began to slip.

Over 75 firefighters at the peak of the incident on Tuesday, 28 February.
