From Mr Andrew Warren

Sir: You argue in your business comment column (25 November) that synchronising time with the Continent would "cut pounds 250m off electricity bills". But how is that compatible with your concluding advice to Scots concerned about longer, darker mornings to use more industrial lighting to compensate?

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Warren
