Styrian Grand Prix LIVE: Latest F1 updates and reaction as Lewis Hamilton wins first race of the seasosn
Re-live the latest updates from the Red Bull Ring where defneding champion Hamilton cruised to victory ahead of teammate Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen
Follow the latest updates live from the Styrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring as Lewis Hamilton starts from pole position in a bid to win his first race of the 2020 F1 season.
The reigning world champion produced an incredible lap in qualifying to take pole position by a mammoth 1.2s, but he’s joined on the front row by Max Verstappen in a Red Bull that has a lot of making up to do after last weekend’s double-retirement for the home team. The top order is shaken up somewhat though by the rain-sodden qualifying session, meaning Carlos Sainz starts in third in the McLaren with world championship leader Valtteri Bottas only able to qualify in fourth.
There have been a fair few grid penalties applied, with Lando Norris dropping from sixth to ninth and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc seeing an already-disappointing 11th worsen to 14th after he was found to have blocked Daniil Kvyat in qualifying, with Antonio Giovinazzi also dropping to thee back of the grid after a gearbox change on his Alfa Romeo. Lights out is scheduled for 2:10pm, and you can follow lap-by-lap updates live below.

Chequered Flag: What a finish! For the second weekend in a row Norris delivers a stunning final lap to pass not one but two Racing Points and give McLaren a fifth-place finish! Perez struggled his way to sixth, finishing just 0.066s ahead of Stroll and 0.204s ahead of Ricciardo.
Lewis Hamilton: "Firstly I have to say a big thank you to my team and everyone back in the factory. It's been a weird year but it's so good to be back up here with that type of performance.
"I tried to get the fastest lap but of course on 40-lap old mediums I wasn't going to get it against someone on new fresh tyres. But that's ok, this feels like a long time coming and to get here after last week is a great step forward.
"I love this, I love back-to-back, we should just go back-to-back all year long - though I might need a holiday in between!"
Valtteri Bottas: "Starting fourth today it was damage limitation, so good points and still leading the championship.
A good battle with Max, I think I had better pace at the end but it was good fun. Could be more satisfied but it's not been a bad to races.
Max Verstappen: "I tried but we are just a bit too slow. When Valtteri went past I tried to make it tough for him but he just had too much. A fun race though as last week was pretty boring.
Chequered Flag: A late stewards investigation had been declared into the last-lap pass from Stroll on Ricciardo. Stroll did run deep, so deep that he didn't make the corner, and in turn neither did the Renault drier that allowed Norris to nip through. That could well be a five-second penalty for Stroll which would drop him behind Ricciardo only.
