A behind-the-scenes look at new Jurassic World film Fallen Kingdom has provided a first look at the return of Jeff Goldblum.

The actor will reprise the role of beloved Jurassic Park character Dr Ian Malcolm for the sequel - his appearance of which can be briefly glimpsed in the preview clip.

"Here I am talking about dinosaurs again," the character can be seen saying in a scene seemingly set in a courtroom away from the dino-riddled island.

Directed by J.A. Bayona, Fallen Kingdom sees the return of Jurassic World actors Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and BD Wong with the addition of Justice Smith, James Cromwell and Toby Jones.

Bayona's previous credits include The Orphanage, The Impossible and A Monster Calls.

Upon its release, Jurassic World made more than $1.6bn to become the fourth highest-grossing film of all time.

Teasing the sequel, Pratt said: “[Fallen Kingdom] is going to be a scarier version, a little bit darker, and will continue to expand and carry the story forward in a way that is really unexpected and you wouldn't have imagined.”

Last month, co-screenwriter Colin Trevorrow - who directed the first Jurassic World - shared a clip from the forthcoming sequel showing a baby dinosaur cuddling up to Pratt's protagonist, Owen.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released 22 June 2018. Check back here this Friday (8 December) for your first look at the full trailer as well as a breakdown from Bayona himself.
