A Series Of Unfortunate Events - Season 2 - Official Teaser

The magnificent marketing campaign for Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events continues.

After a New Year's Day message courtesy of Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris), a longer teaser now debuts in which the nefarious villain breaks the fourth wall to deliver his own take on the upcoming season 2, which he promises is "really going to be quite dreadful".

The series takes its basis from the 13 books penned by Lemony Snicket (in reality, Daniel Handler), and follows the three Baudelaire orphans: Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. All three terrorised by Olaf, hell-bent on acquiring their fortune.

While the first season adapted books The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, The Wide Window, and The Miserable Mill; season 2 will tackle The Austere Academy, The Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, and The Hostile Hospital. The show's already been renewed for season 3, its final one, so fans should be assured Netflix is intent on adapting the entire series (unlike a certain film studio).

You can read our review of the first season here, which declares that the show "manages that rare feat of staying utterly faithful to the books, while still remaining fresh and dynamic."
